Launch Event - Swiss Doctoral School in Affective Sciences
Campus Biotech - Auditorium
The Swiss Center for Affective Sciences is proud to announce the launch of its new Swiss Doctoral School in the Affective Sciences, a complementary scientific training and funding program open to any researcher doing a PhD in Switzerland on a topic related to emotion or other affective phenomena, irrespective of the field. The program is compatible with other doctoral programs in Switzerland.
The school offers a variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary training activities. Students will join one of the largest research centers for the study of affect in the world, allowing them to expand their scientific network, obtain financial support to attend scientific meetings, and receive updated information on academic events and funding opportunities.
The program will be inaugurated on Tuesday, September 15th in Geneva with a launch event designed to inform interested students about the program. The day will also feature a student poster session and short scientific talks illustrating disciplinary and interdisciplinary work in the study of emotion. Registration is free and travel expenses in Switzerland will be reimbursed. More information and registration at www.affective-sciences.org/sds
Given the interest of this program to any researcher working on affective phenomena in Switzerland, whichever the discipline, we would kindly ask you to give this information as much visibility as possible in your scientific circles. A flyer is also attached for your convenience.
With our best regards,
Cristina Soriano, Head of Education and Training, Swiss Center for Affective Sciences
David Sander, Director, Swiss Center for Affective Sciences
